TVWP is back from our summer break and we couldn’t of been more happy to bring everyone together again at Pala Casino this past week. We have held many meetings at Pala, but this one was special as we held our meeting in the same room that we did 10 years ago for our July luncheon meeting.
With one of the Sycamore Rooms providing the backdrop, our members and their invited guests got to enjoy the resort scenery of appetizers on the veranda opening to the interior grounds of this destination wedding & reception venue. With Pala’s wedding ceremony site to the left of the networking zone, everyone got to see how ceremonies are presented here all the while using this golden hour to the maximum while enjoying the setting sun as Sterling Productions provided the background music.
An Additional special feature to this meeting was the transportation services of one of members, Executive VIP Transportation who brought a group down & back from Temecula. This is the way to bring guests and family to locations like Pala that allow to complete enjoyment with entertainment, food, and all those resort type of features.
As is customary, the heart of the meeting is at the dinner table, and Pala knows how to excel at this aspect. Tables were filled, and connections with a whole new crowd ensued while enjoying the centerpieces as provided by Florals by Patricia and accompanied with the clear/wood mix table numbers provided by one of our newer members, Cades & Birch . As we all know, developing relations over the breaking of bread is a whole other level of relationship building and with a buffet of scrumptious fair topped with a martini mash potato bar – well let’s just say ‘seconds’ were in order.
O.k. stop. We won’t even detail the dessert bar as this is usually – and was again – the most popular stop before we started the program portion of the evening. Justin of Hulse Photography who served as the meeting image guy has a few stills of this area to serve as our reason to visit the gym this week.
This August meeting allowed us to bring up again one of our great marketing resources, Bethel Nathan of Ceremonies by Bethel, to provide a treasure trove of great information on focusing our ever-present social media services. Her approach at its core is to view our wedding social media activities as relationship building process’ and not the mundane ‘Have To’ approach that many wedding professionals view it as. The slide deck she composed and shared liberally with the audience is gold as it detailed tips and tools that can easily present your business’ personality into an attractive and functional prospect building process. Isn’t that what we would all want from our social media efforts; clients!
Bethel, as mentioned before is not only a wedding officiant, but also provides business coaching at Elevate by Bethel, as well as is one of the leads of the Weddingwire Education intuitive. Here slides from the presentation are available by texting ELEVATE to 345345. You can also catch her headlining a session at the upcoming WeddingMBA in Las Vegas. Remember our TVWP code: TEM24
As peppered in above, these meetings don’t just happen, they take a team of wedding professionals and we would like to express our thanks to the following members who greatly assisted in making this happen:
Venue: Pala Casino Spa & Resort
Linens: Linen Xpress
Speaker: Ceremonies by Bethel
Table Numbers: Cades & Birch
Sound: Sterling Productions
Floral: Florals by Patricia
Transportation: Executive VIP Transportation
Photography: Hulse Photography
The evening was a great re-start to our TVWP meeting circuit as we move into the fall wedding season which tends to be almost as busy as the spring season here in the valley. Speaking of which, Jaime and her team at Wiens Family Cellars will serve as the hosts of the next meeting on September 4th. Registration is open
