Ultra-Violet is the Pantone color of the year and this year’s TVWP kick off meeting was painted in this beautiful hue! The team of vendors that put together the February meeting did a wonderful job of adding in texture, tone, and accents which created a gorgeous and inviting setting for the event.
The linens by Creative Coverings varied from table to table. One table design included imprinted light purple and white textured fabric (called Silver Martinique) with a silver satin runner overlay. Another design included a solid ultra-violet linen with a delicate silver metallic lace runner. So gorgeous! The accents for the evening comprised of a variety of silvers which you don’t get to see too often but is oh-so-pretty! To round out the table design were all black chivari chairs.
The lighting for the event was romantic with soft purple up-lighting and a candlelight aesthetic for the tables.
The evening had many noteworthy elements which made the occasion that much more enjoyable. This included wine tasting by Frangipani Winery, tray passed appetizers, a photo booth by Set Apart 4 Christ Photobooth and a build-your-own ice cream bar for dessert!
Dinner included a beef carving station, rice pilaf, and an orange and pomegranate salad with goat cheese. So good!
We had two guest speakers, Robin Brockelsby of Creative Coverings who covered The Art of Upselling and 2018 Design Trends. There was a lot to be learned from these two insightful women – it was a must attend meeting.
A takeaway from the talk….when considering your business and what you stand for, consider asking yourself: Why do you do what you do? What’s your purpose? What’s your cause? What’s your belief?
