I’m Austin, a full time husband, dog father and the owner and operator of the Southern California (but I pretty much travel anywhere) mobile DJ company Austin Murray Entertainment.
I’ve done every event you can possibly think of for more than a decade.
My mom was an entertainer and singer in Las Vegas for over 20 years, and when I was younger she got me into music. She used to sing at all the old original hotels there, but with huge orchestras in the lounges in front of thousands every single week. Long story short, after she had me no one was doing that as much as they used to. So she did the next best thing, and became a DJ. She did that and still singing on the side up until one month before she passed away from cancer. When I was 15 years old she got me my first “DJ set up” and I started giging right after. It came natural to me. It also maybe had something to do with being taught by the best.
I started off as a bass player (still am today). I’ve been in bands my whole life. It’s been a blessing! I’ve been able to travel and see so many places not everybody gets to see! Plus, it’s kind of a lot of fun. For the past five years I have been in a Guns N’ Roses tribute band.
Also, regarding weddings for example, I help you to choose all of the music for your ceremony and reception. When it comes to me music is not an issue. Anything and everything that is out there I have access to. If it’s online, which everything these days is, I have access to it. I have nice, state-of-the-art, clean looking equipment. I come dressed professionally to your event. Along with DJing, I also Emcee the event from start to finish.
I offer all the bells and whistles, for example wireless LED uplighting, GOBO light, karaoke, wireless microphones, etc. I offer superior service for a great cost. My goal is to do a great job for my clients so that later when they need a DJ again, I am the first name pops up in there head. I’m a very visual person, and that probably has to do with why take so many videos and pictures from each and every event that I do. With doing so, all of my social media is constantly being updated with brand-new content. Plus, I like to have great examples to show you of what I do best!
