It was the first warm afternoon that we have had all season, and what better way to enjoy it than by spending it at the gorgeous Avensole Winery! Our March meeting was set perfectly starting with complimentary valet parking provided by Temecula Valley Valet. Upon entering the reception area your ears were greeted with the soft yet energetic melody provided by Republic of Music. So nice!
Avensole has a wonderful palate for a party…with tall ceilings, floor to almost ceiling windows, chandeliers and an indoor/outdoor flow. The décor for the evening was a mix of industrial and rustic furnishings with touches of geometric accents. There was a mix of tables round and rectangle, which also included an array of green florals. The rectangular tables had tall full arrangements placed upon gold stands designed by Storybook Weddings & Events. The circular tables had silver linens provided by Linen Xpress and were topped with a floral arrangement accompanied by candlelight.
The menu for the evening was a refreshing spinach and bean salad with citrus vinaigrette, grilled chicken, basmati rice and sliced beef with Au Jus sauce prepared by Vineyard Gourmet Catering. The dessert area was accentuated with a geometric wall unit designed by Gonzalez Productions & Rentals and had a delicious variety of treats including bit sized s’mores, chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes and more! The desserts were compliments of Cakes to Celebrate.
The evening also included two guest speakers. One was Jennifer from Sale Sanctuary Ranch who graciously shared her time to talk about the progress being made with the animals at their facility and how we as a group can give back to help support their cause (Save the date…Monday, April 17th for an intimate volunteer day with the animals!). Our second speaker was Valarie of Enticing Tables and she did an in-depth presentation on creating effective Facebook Ads. SO HELPFUL! There were a lot of useful takeaways and we are grateful she shared her time with us. (Look for a follow up article sharing some key points to help you create your next promo piece.)
As an added treat, we’re showcasing some of our great Hair & Makeup artists in the first half of this year. March featured a makeover by Sandra Michelle Artistry with the ever busy, Annette Nielsen – Stunning!
In short, the evening was festive, fun and beneficial. Next month’s meeting will be on Tuesday, April 4th and will be held in the Cave at Oak Mountain Winery. We look forward to seeing you there!
