September always represents the start of the fall wedding season for the Temecula Valley and the wedding professionals this month started off the autumn season with our first visit to the new Wedgewood at the Orchard property. This location is truly a hidden gem as you walk inside the towering trees to reveal a serene lake and heavily foliaged wedding venue.
With over 90 wedding pros in attendance, the Art of Traditions was the theme for the evening as we wrapped up this year’s Art of Series…
With George from Southern Cali DJ’s providing the background music, members and guests brought the stress level down mingling and enjoying the peaceful nature that The Orchards presents to guests. Following the tray passed appetizers, the members were treated to an over flowing dinner buffet while sitting on a mix of wooden furniture, some of which was provided by Rustic Events and supported in the décor area by Rickety Swank, Vintage & Unique. Wedgwood’s own in house florist did the centerpieces and they rocked!
Outside of networking and enjoying each other’s company, the focus of the night was to learn and help further our knowledge of the different and effects that Traditions play in our wedding environments here in the Valley. Lead by Annette Nielsen, the group explored many of the fascinating aspects of our recent weddings, as well as some of the issues with trying to facilitate some of the more stringent traditions that are creeping more and more in to the valley’s weddings.
Here is a list of the exceptional members who helped bring this meeting home and provided an evening truly in tune with the Art of Series;
The drawing for Featured Member of the Month went to longtime member Michelle Garibay Events. You can read more on Michelle on our Blog for this month
Our annual drawing for the free WMBA session pass went to Samantha from Wedding Details by Samantha. This being her first trip to the conference should be an eye-opening experience and prepare her for an even better year from the knowledge and connects she will make.
Off to October and the Oct. 6th visit to another new venue, The Cave at Oak Mountain Winery.
