September usually signifies the start of Fall in most parts of the country, but in Temecula’s wine country it means two things; the start of the grape harvest and start of the Fall Wedding Season. Yes, the Fall wedding season is usually one of the busiest times for wedding vendors in the Valley as late September & October are prime times for weddings.
So to have over 85 of the best wedding vendors in one place to enjoy a night of networking and business building is a luxury and also a testament to the strength of the wedding community locally. This month we moved our meeting downtown, that’s old town for the locals as the Hotel Temecula played host for us. This is not a new wedding / reception venue – not by a mile. This location is historic in an area of newness (yes, that’s a word). Not many things are over a hundred and thirty years old around here – but this is.
And what history we experienced. Richard and Chris hosted the TVWP group as we started the night with our traditional networking coupled with extensive tour(s) of the multi-bed facility that can be rented as a unit to destination seeking wedding parties. Once the sunset, we moved to the dinner and table talk portion of the evening. As You Like It Catering & Events provided the meal service and dessert with helpings that did nothing but signify them as one of the top wedding catering firms in the area.
Rachel & Chef Phyllis impressed! They even worked the menu to pair well expertly with the wines that were provided by Curry Vineyards.
TVWP members and guests to this point had the opportunity to network, tour an historic venue, sample some fine cuisine, and then were enlightened with the evening’s panel of Officiants who provided their wisdom & expertise to enhance the working relationships with this important part of the whole wedding ceremony. Participating on the panel were; Bethel Nathan of Ceremonies by Bethel, Pat & Kelly Borsum of A Forever After Wedding, Jeff Saville of SoCal Christian Weddings, and David Cutler of Your Perfect Ceremony. Each of these speakers shared their experience and insights that easily left the group more intune and knowledgeable about their roles.
