You know the tagline of the Las Vegas Tourism Office – ‘What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas’.
This couldn’t be further from the truth when it comes to the wedding industry. Why so? Because the Wedding MBA is fast approaching and to put it concisely, this is the biggest wedding orientated wedding trade show and exhibition in the United States every year. What information, ideas, and knowledge that the over 3,500 participants gathering can and should be shared with the multitudes of couples getting married in the Temecula Valley.
If the Wedding MBA is new to you, then it merits a long look as this is one of those great learning and networking events that can help to elevate your wedding business – just as being a member of the Temecula Valley Wedding Professionals can. The Wedding MBA is session, after session put on by some of the leading wedding mentors in the country. This year along, their are over 120 separate sessions on differing tracks like floral, planning, decor, photography, social media, and on and on.
It’s no secret, this is a great way to plug into what’s happening and more so into what you should know to do your wedding services better. And we all want to be better, right?
Know for the facts. The admission is by pre-registration and is currently $219.00. That’s it. This admission covers the whole convention and all the sessions. The pricing goes up closer the the event, so buying early is great way to afford entry. You are likely to need to cover your own hotel, transportation to Vegas and back along with whatever food you’re looking consume while you’re there. But we all know rooms in Vegas are ‘competitive. The host hotel is the Westgate right next to the Las Vegas Convention Center. So it’s possible to drive over, park the cart at the Westgate and not drive anywhere until you leave.
In addition to the sessions, vendor exhibits with the usual ‘show specials’, two of the leading media partners of the WMBA; The Knot and Weddingwire each hold parties at some of the more exclusive locations on the strip that are only open to attendees. Put 3,500 wedding professionals together at a party and well, maybe this part of the trip should be left in Vegas. But don’t worry, you’ll have a great time, sample great food, and meet some other fantastic wedding geeks from other parts of the country that will make your networking even stronger.

Temecula sends roughly 30-35 wedding pros every year – one of the larger groups in the country. We typically do our own things during the days, but are more than happy to car-pool around for dinners or parties if your looking to partner up to help smooth out the trip. One thing that you’ll need to know right up front, you will return more informed, more knowledgeable, but a lot more tied – this is fire-hose type of learning.
